People

Dr. Randall Baker is the President and founder of Farmington Equine Services, starting the practice in 1983 as Randall T. Baker, D.V.M.  Dr. Baker is a 1977 graduate of Auburn University's School of Veterinary Medicine, and he attended the University of Tennessee prior to entering veterinary school.  Dr. Baker is a native of Middle Tennessee, growing up in nearby Spring Hill.  Dr. Baker's wife, Kathy M. Baker, is also a 1977 graduate of Auburn University, and she has been with the Marshall County Board of Education since 1977 as an educator.  She also has a Master's Degree in elementary education from M.T.S.U. to her credit.  The Bakers have one daughter, Katie, who shares her parents' love for animals.

Ron Johnson, Certified Equine Dentist, handles the dentistry for Farmington Equine clients.  Ron can service your animal's dentistry needs at your farm, using his portable stocks, or he can see you at our Highway 64 location.  Ron is a South Carolina native, and he and his wife Christine now live in Lewisburg.  They enjoy attending area horse shows, occasional trail riding, and occasional Harley riding.  Ron and Christine have a blended family of seven sons, the youngest two attending Marshall County High School, with three sons in college.  Christine is employed by Bellsouth as a sales representative in the 'Bat Man' tower.

Dolores Miller and Donna Haynes share the duties of managing the office at Farmington Equine.  They are both very helpful in assisting clients, and they do their best to keep all the loose ends tied up.  Dolores is a Pennsylvania native who has been associated with the horse industry for much of her life.  Donna may be somewhat new to the horse industry, but not to Marshall County.  She is a native, and she is quickly learning the horse business.

Jennifer Pendleton is the 'Truck Help".  She assists Dr. Baker in making farm calls and doing procedures at the practice site.  Jennifer is a Florida native who fell in love with the Tennessee Walking Horse and migrated her way straight to Shelbyville.  Jennifer's people skills and organizational skills are a great asset in keeping things running smoothly with clients, staff, and animals.

Ray Herhold works from March through November maintaining the physical facility and doing all sorts of things that noone else wants to do or would think of doing.  Ray is always moving and always thinking, and his skills are great in number and quality.  Ray is the first responder to the Foal Alert at night, and he is also the first responder to the rooster's crow in the morning.

Javier' Gomez takes care of cleaning stalls, feeding, and doing whatever needs doing in general.  Javier' is always smiling and he is always busy.  He does his best to get the job done whenever we call on him.
